The Guardian reports how hotels in the UK are being block-booked by local authorities to host the homeless in an attempt to keep the Cover-19 virus from infecting more people.
The report indicates that even hotel chains such as Intercontinental Hotels Group are participating in this initiative offering the rooms at a “substantially discounted rate.”
Now that is a smart way of helping rough sleepers whilst keeping the hospitality sector going and minimising the risk of losing jobs!
