Travel review site TripAdvisor is a giant in it’s sector and a major influencer especially in the accommodation business. Hoteliers and accommodation providers do not always see TripAdvisor under a good light, especially when they feel that reviews submitted are manufactured with very little control over who or what is published to tarnish their reputation.
According to an article on Tnooz.com penned by deputy editor Linda Fox, TripAdvisor does not seem to be any more willing to consider having reviews verified. According to Fox, quantity matters most to TripAdvisor!
The company feels strongly about the verified reviews route and says it believes its scale of the reviews is what maintains its content integrity and that verified reviews are still open to manipulation.
