Tomorrow, Thursday 7th April, the Greek public sector unions will be bringing the country to a standstill as workers will take a 24-hour walk-out.

Beyond the “reason” behind such actions, the 24-hour walk-out will effect (yet again) the Greek tourism sector as, one-by-one, airlines are cancelling all their inbound and outbound flights in lieu of these industrial actions. This cannot be avoided since air traffic controllers in Greece are part of the public service and consequently there will be no one controlling the skies tomorrow!

Airlines are calling on the EU and Greek Government to stop this madness.

Allow me a simple question: How can the Greek unions disrupt one of their major economic drivers and expect a positive outcome?
